7 weeks

Zach is 7 weeks old today!  He is one big boy and changing so much every day.  He is still very unpredictable as far as schedules go, we def work around him :)  A week ago we moved him to his big boy crib in his room.  He is doing pretty well as far as schedules at night time (Mommy only has to get up once or twice)!  It is unbelievable how much he looks like Jake, they could still pass for twins :)  Other than that, he eats a lot, loves watching his brother, and still LOVES to be held & rocked.

Smile

Zach has been smiling a lot lately, but it is really hard to get on film.  Mommy and Zach had lots of play time this morning, and Mommy tried (with not a lot of success) to capture his smile.  You can see we were having lots of fun until Mommy pushed it at the end with tummy time :)  The smiles quickly turned into cries and it was time for a nap.

Aunt Mo Mo

Mommy's friend Monica (or as Jake likes to call her, Mo Mo) came into town to meet Zach.  She got to spend quality time with the kids and see how crazy the Bramel house has become.  But both kids loved the attention they received from Aunt Mo Mo!

First Day of School

Today is Zach's first day going to Ms. Rita's (babysitter).  Mommy has a hair appointment and decided to take a much needed break :) However, it was much harder to watch Zach go than Mommy thought.
The second pose is his "Paris Hilton" model look trying to pucker his lips :)

Hanging Out

Jake loves hanging out with Zach.  He constantly wants to be right up in Zach's face.  Here are a couple pics of them hanging out together.  At first Zach was talking smack to Jake, then Jake took a stand and showed him who's boss :)

Play Time

Zach and Mommy had some play time this afternoon.  He was showing off how strong his neck is and Mommy was able to capture some pics.  After a while Zach got tired and let Mommy know he was done.

1 Month Well Visit

We had Zach's 1 month well visit, even though he is over 5 weeks now.  Doctor said everything looked great and he was perfect.  He is a big boy weighing in at 11.9 lbs (79%) and measuring 22.50 inches long (69%).
Zach has been a very needy 2nd baby.  I have always heard that 2nd babies are very laid back and have to take back seat to the 1st child.  Not this baby. . . he constantly needs our love and attention.  He likes to be rocked while standing only, no sitting on this job :)  Most newborns just sleep all day, this boy hardly sleeps at all.  It seemed as if he had some colic or acid reflux issues, but he might be starting to grow out of that (cross your fingers).  He does not like to go to bed any time before midnight (that is starting to move up a little as well).  The other night we did have a break thru, 6 hours straight at night...but it was too good to be true and only lasted that one night.  Overall, he is doing great and keeping us very busy.  We love him very much and look forward to every new thing he does.  We have got a couple smiles in response to us and he is starting to grab things.  He has a super strong neck and loves to hold his head up.  Oh, and he rolled from his belly to his back two times the other night while getting some tummy time.

Papa

Nana & Papa finally got to experience the "Real Zach", the baby that constantly has to be held and rocked.  Here is a picture of Papa snuggling with Zach after he calmed him from one of his fits.

Children's Museum

It was cold in Michigan, so we decided to spend Saturday afternoon at the children's museum.  Jake was busy running around and getting into all sorts of things.  The museum was filled with toddlers making tons of noise and Zach slept thru the entire thing.  Here is a pic of Zach at the children's museum.

Granny O

One of the main reasons we traveled to Michigan was for Zach to meet Granny O.  We got to spend lots of quality time with her and I am so glad the two of them got to bond.  Plus, Jake always loves to see "O" as he calls her.

3 States in 3 Weeks

We took a road trip to Michigan over Labor Day weekend.  Zach has been in three states in three weeks- Ohio, Indiana and Michigan.  What a great traveler already.  He slept the entire car ride to Michigan, Mommy was so glad!!!

Brotherly Love

Zach loves when 5:00 rolls around and his brother comes home.  He gets hugs and kisses and a face other than Mommy's to look at.
