Corn on the Cob

Zach has found a new favorite food, corn on the cob.  And Mommy & Daddy like it because it takes him a while to consume.  Usually he inhales any food that is in front of him so fast that we don't even have time to take a bite of our own meals.  So corn on the cob is a summer lifesaver for us at dinner time :)

Cape Cod - July 8

Our last day was a rainy one.  We spent most of the day inside just chillin'.  Luckily it cleared up just in time to fit in an evening game of soccer for Zach.  He loved when Papa would walk him around the backyard and kick the big soccer ball.

Cape Cod - July 7

This morning Jake & Griffin were cuddling on a chair and Zach was very envious.  You can see from the first picture, he is stretching as far as he can to get closer to them.  He so badly wants to be a big boy.
Daddy applied lotion to Zach before heading to the beach and wanted to make that every inch of his body was protected, including his scalp.  You can see the awesome hair do that Daddy gave Zach.  It was another beautiful day at the beach.  Weather was perfect and the water was warm :)

Cape Cod - July 5

Today we went to one of the many fabulous Cape Cod beaches.  Zach really enjoyed the sea air, playing in the sand and testing the warm water.  He also enjoyed some snuggle time with Nana after nap time.  *As a footnote, in most of the Cape Cod pictures you will notice Papa's bottom half in almost every shot with Zach.  Papa is Zach's favorite buddy and was willing to walk him around most of the week :)

Cape Cod - July 4

Happy 4th of July!!  Zach attended his first parade.  He even started waving his flag like a pro.  He was such a trooper the whole trip, just would go with the flow (even skipping naps)!!!  That night he even made it up for the firework show on the beach.  What a superstar!

Cape Cod - July 3

We took a family vacation to Cape Cod.  This was Zach's first experience on a plane.  I am writing this blog to remind myself to never fly with a child under 3 years old.  He was not well behaved on the plane, but more than made up for it on the trip.  He grew up so much the week we were there.  He stopped eating baby food and only wanted table food.  He no longer wanted to get from point A to point B by crawling, he insisted on help walking.  And he thought he was one of the big boys and wanted to be right in the action with Jake & Griffin.
We went to a really cool crabbing beach the first day.  While Jake was busy picking out crabs in the sea grass, Zach was being walked around the beach with Papa.  And you can see later that night how much he enjoyed corn on the cob :)
