Helicopter Santa

We were lucky enough to be invited to an amazing Santa experience this year.  We went to a home where Santa arrived in a helicopter.  It was so exciting!  Zach was a little afraid when the helicopter was landing, but he did well especially considering it was right during nap time.  We waited in line to sit on Santa's lap, again Zach did pretty well.  He wasn't super excited, but he wasn't screaming either.  I mean lets be honest, at that age that is pretty scary to sit on some big stranger's lap with lots of white facial hair :)  He was really excited to get a present and ripped it open in no time.  Thanks helicopter Santa!!

O'Christmas Tree

We went to a local tree farm to pick out the lucky winner.  This year Mommy & Zachy made sure they were present as last year Daddy & Jakey picked out the biggest tree ever.  Zach had a blast zig zagging thru the rows of trees.  It didn't take us long to find the perfect Christmas tree :)

Happy Thanksgiving

We had a fun filled Thanksgiving.  We began the day at the Gaspar's house for breakfast.  Then everyone came back to our house for crafts, play time, cooking, and lots of eating.  Zach was a trooper with all the commotion and staying up late.  Apparently the boy likes to party :)

Happy Halloween!

Happy Halloween from our little parrot.  Zach was his pirate brother's parrot.

Trick or Treat

We had a little family Halloween party on Saturday night.  It was filled with lots of fun food, pumpkin carving and other tricks.  Zach enjoyed his favorite treat, cookies.  He is such a cookie monster.  As soon as we get the cookies out he starts clapping, bouncing up and down and laughing.  He also followed his brothers footsteps on the Halloween tricks:  Googly eyes and Groucho marx glasses.  We thought we would try to put the glasses on and he would immediately through them off, boy were we wrong.  He wore them proudly and if they happen to fall off, he would demand that we put them right back on.

Spooky Hollow

We went to a super fun pumpkin patch on Saturday.  When we first pulled in, we were unsure about what the place had to offer.  We were pleasantly surprised by the super fun hayride.  It was about a 20 minute adventure through the woods.  A tractor pulled our wagon filled with hay thru 2 feet of mud and water.  There were moments we thought for sure we would get stuck.  Mommy did not prepare well for this trip and had no toys to entertain Zach on this hayride.  Luckily I had a bottle of advil that made a great rattle substitute (not sure what people around us thought), but it did the trick.  We will definitely make a trip back to this pumpkin patch next Halloween :)

Uncle Randy's Birthday

Last Friday was Uncle Randy's birthday.  Zach was so excited to help him celebrate.  But I must admit that he was more excited to see his best buddy, Papa.  Nana & Papa came into town for Randy's b-day and Halloween fun.

Pumpkin Patch

Yesterday evening we took the boys to a Pumpkin Patch.  Zach had fun on the hayride out to the patch, but once we got there, he was not happy.  Mommy couldn't wait to get a cute picture of the boys in pumpkin patch, but Zach was just unhappy.  Once we got back to the farm he was content just chillin in the grass.  Our last event before going home was walking thru a corn maze.  Zach loved walking around on his own and trying to find his way out!!

Hungry Boy

We continue to be amazed how much this little guy can eat!!  Just as soon as we think there is no way he could fit any more food in his belly, he is licking the plate and wanting more :)

Crazy Hair

Cute pic of Zach after he got out of the pool and his wild hair.

Granny O's Birthday

Again, these are from late August when we went to Michigan.  The purpose of our Michigan trip was to help celebrate Granny O's 90th birthday.  We went to a great restaurant on Gun Lake.  Zach enjoyed all the attention he got and was entertained at the table with Peek-a-Boo!!

Pool

I am so far behind in posting these blogs.  These are from a road trip we took to Grand Rapids in late August.  Zach loves the water.  He has so much splish splashing around.  He thinks it is so funny to splash water on his face and enjoyed drinking the pool water :)

Swinging

Zach loves spending time with Papa.  He follows him around like a puppy.  Here are some special moments captured between Zach and Papa.

Birthday Party

Zach had so much fun at his birthday party.  Although, he was still not a fan of this cake.  He started balling as soon as we put it in front of him and cried until we took it away.  He loved trying to keep up with the big kids, hanging out with his favorite family members and getting loved on by all.

Milestone - Walking

Zach has been taking a couple steps here and there.  But tonight, on his first birthday, he was a walking fool.  He was taking 10+ steps with confidence.  It is amazing to watch this little person figure things out, especially how to balance and walk.  We are so proud of you Zach!!  And what a memorable moment for us on his 1st birthday :)
