Crazy Hair

Cute pic of Zach after he got out of the pool and his wild hair.

Granny O's Birthday

Again, these are from late August when we went to Michigan.  The purpose of our Michigan trip was to help celebrate Granny O's 90th birthday.  We went to a great restaurant on Gun Lake.  Zach enjoyed all the attention he got and was entertained at the table with Peek-a-Boo!!

Pool

I am so far behind in posting these blogs.  These are from a road trip we took to Grand Rapids in late August.  Zach loves the water.  He has so much splish splashing around.  He thinks it is so funny to splash water on his face and enjoyed drinking the pool water :)

Swinging

Zach loves spending time with Papa.  He follows him around like a puppy.  Here are some special moments captured between Zach and Papa.

Birthday Party

Zach had so much fun at his birthday party.  Although, he was still not a fan of this cake.  He started balling as soon as we put it in front of him and cried until we took it away.  He loved trying to keep up with the big kids, hanging out with his favorite family members and getting loved on by all.

Milestone - Walking

Zach has been taking a couple steps here and there.  But tonight, on his first birthday, he was a walking fool.  He was taking 10+ steps with confidence.  It is amazing to watch this little person figure things out, especially how to balance and walk.  We are so proud of you Zach!!  And what a memorable moment for us on his 1st birthday :)

1st Birthday

Today is Zach's 1st birthday.  It is so hard to believe an entire year has already gone by!!  Eric and I are so lucky to have such an amazing, snugly, patient, happy and adorable little boy.  He was quite challenging as an infant, but has grown into such a rewarding baby that fills our home with laughter and smiles.
After work today, Griffin and Aunt Kris stopped by to say Happy Birthday to Zach.  We decided it was the perfect time to give Zach his presents.  Of course both Jake and Griffin were drooling over the wrapped gifts and could not wait to tear them open.  But they were very patient and let Zach enjoy a couple minutes trying to figure out exactly what these big piles of paper were.  Eventually we gave in and let Jake & Griffin open the presents for Zach.
Mommy's business partner, Jennifer, got Zach a little cake.  So after dinner we were excited to watch Zach attack the cake.  Much to our surprise, he barely touched the cake and when we fed him some he started to cry.  We were shocked because he inhales every piece of food (no matter what it is) that is in front of him.  So we will chalk this up to practice for the family party on Saturday.
Happy Birthday baby boy!  We love you so much and thank you for bringing so much joy to our lives.
